Hen & Pen

Our two chickens that came with the house. 

The white one is a Delware we named Henny, and the black & white is a Barred Plymouth Rock we named Penny.

No idea how old either of them are, but they do seem to be laying pretty regularly. Henny has given us an egg almost every day since we moved in! 

Unfortunately they are quite unfriendly chickens, very skittish, although they are slowly getting used to me and learning that when I come into the coop I've usually got some sort of goodies with me.

Their coop needed a massive clean-up when we first moved in, more on that soon.

We're hoping to pick up some more girls at an auction this weekend, I've never been to a bird auction before so this should be interesting!
